    Canyon Ranch in Lenox is looking for an outgoing and personable candidate to become the voice of Canyon Ranch as our PBX Operator (Hotel Operator).


    The PBX Operator is responsible to coordinate communications for and throughout Canyon Ranch via telephone and radio.


    He or She will:


    • Answers and routes telephone calls at the PBX switchboard.
    • Records messages for guests, maintains confidentiality, and charges calls to guest rooms if needed.
    • Performs radio communication for Security, Maintenance, Transportation, Front Desk, Bell Services, Grounds, Manager on Duty, and Housekeeping.
    • Records and performs wakeup calls for guests and maintains Do Not Disturb requests.
    • Collects faxes, prescriptions, and FedEx and has them distributed to guests. Prepares postage on outgoing mail and distributes incoming mail.
    • Logs all Maintenance and Housekeeping requests and ensures staff member room keys and radios are accounted for.
    • Performs other job related duties as needed or directed.


    Education: High School diploma

    Certification/License:  N/A

    Experience: Previous Operator and customer service experience is preferred

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and orally.
    • Answers the phone in a pleasant and positive manner
    • Must be able to work well under pressure and remain calm
    • Typing and computer skills are mandatory
